saturday afternoon and learning outside the classroom
Saturday afternoon we had the pleasure of visiting a hands on native AmericanPlank house.(I love hands on museum type places) We learned so many things even I learned a thing or 2. The children got to help ground red rock for the paint that they used to paint different things. They learned about all types of foods they ate and what they used to make their clothes with. This Plank house was built along the Lewis and Clark trail so they learned about that also. They had all types of furs from animals on display there that they could touch. All in all we had a great time and learn so many new things. So if you are ever in the Ridgefield, Washington area you should stop by there and check it out.
Raising a large family has its challenges. Homeschooling a large family has it's particular trial. But, it also has its unique joys. In this blog, parents of 4 or more children talk about homeschooling a crew. We'll share our ups and downs, our stories and curriculum, our favorite links, and even a few reviews.
